Is a virtual tour a good marketing tool?
5 minutes read
Since people have got used to researching online, the virtual tour has shifted from "nice extra" to a fixed part of the marketing mix. But a tool is only as good as how you use it.
What you get from it
A tour draws visitors into your website and keeps them there longer. It gives an innovative way to show your place, helps your visibility in Google, and turns a passive viewer into someone actively walking through your story. Above all: it builds trust by showing what is really there.
What it isn't for
A tour is no replacement for a good website, clear copy or a complete business profile. It strengthens those things but doesn't carry them alone. Don't expect miracles in the short term in search results either — the effect builds up.
Where to place it
On your homepage or a landing page, in your Google Business Profile, and as a link in quotes, newsletters and social media. The more places, the more ways in.
How to get more out of it
Link the tour to a clear next step — a contact form, a booking button — and measure in Google Analytics whether visitors who open the tour take that step more often. Then you know what it's worth.
